Help!! Case transferred to Local Office Newyork

Hi,

Our online case status has been changed for I 485 which is below

"
On February 2, 2005, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in NEW YORK, NY for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in NEW YORK, NY will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case. If you need further information, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

We have changed our address 10 days ago we have not recieved any acknowledgement yet regarding the address change from USCIS.

Do they send any notice when the case gets transferred to Local Office for an Interview

Call NCSC and ask them to have your new address updated at the local New York office since your file is transferred. The local office does not send acknowledgemnt letters. They will send you interview letters once a date has been set up but it may take several months. You could go to the New York Office and ask them yourself about your case but wait a few months. My impression is that new york takes 6 - 12 months to schedule interviews.
