I'm working on h1b and have applied for 485.

I do not have EAD and AP.
I need to travel to india. I've h1b approval notice. Should I apply for AP or go to embassy in india for h1b stamping/

which one works out better? any idea

Either way is good for you... your choice, depends if you have time in India then go for H1B stamping, otherwise get AP and then travel !!

EAD is not required for travel.
