Help: Anyone have similar experience? I-485 question.

Hi all,

I\'m posting this here since those who read this section may have gone through this situation before. Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

My 485 application was finally approved on December 4 but, unfortunately, there\'s been no word about my wife\'s application (I\'m primary applicant and wife is derivative). Anyone have a similar experience? And if so, how long before your spouse\'s application got the green light? Please let me know if I need to be worried.

same situation

My app was approved on Dec 6, and stamped on Dec 14. But my wife\'s is still pending and she is a derivative applicant.

Vermont IIO said that our applications were incidentally assigned to 2 separate officers. They usually try to keep the family apps together, but in some case they get split up. Therefore when Officer A approved my app, it needs to get into the system and update it so that Officer B knows the derivate app can now be processed. It will take a while for the system to capture it, and for Officer B to get to it. I\'m giving it a month, if not two.

Anyone else with a similar experience?

We had a RFE (for each of us) sent 11/1 that we answered 11/22 and was received by INS on 11/25. If our cases were assigned to 2 different officers, it seems very unlikely that we both had RFE at the very same time. Any thoughts?

Hopefully, our wives will get their approvals before Xmas.
