Hi,
after i applied for gc i changed my employer after labor is approved. company B applied for my h1 transfer.they told me that they got receipt number and i can start working with comapny B .My RD date for h1 transfer is 31 oct2000. i started working from 1st nov 2000. my h1 iwas approved in jan 13 2001 with company B.
i worked upto feb 15,2001 .i got all paystubs including the w2 forms for the period nov1 to feb15 for which i worked.

i went back to my old employer and i applied for my I140.after that i applied for my 485.now INS is asking to prove

how i legally worked for company B. after getting RD we can work for that comapny.
from when this law is from effect ?. i think i worked legally only because if it is illegal how company B issues me paystubs and w2.B is a big company

please suggest me which law allows us to work after applying for h1 transfer and after geeting Rd and before h1 getting approved.
from which date this law is in effect?

The H1 transfer law

might have been there last Jan. So you were legal to work for B. But in your case you went back to your old Employer A. Now did you "transfer" H1 back to A?

I think you transferred the first H1 to company B. So you dont have one with A anymore right? I am not sure how that works. If you started working for B your "transfer" should have been completed soon after. If what I am thinking is right, I am not sure if your Labor with A would still be valid when you work for A!

This is really messy! Call your lawyer. I think you might need a proper lawyer.
