Help! after PS, moving to other state without GC yet.

I had my passport stamped in Arlington, VA on June 29th, 2004. The officer asked us to come to the office if we move to other state before we get the plastic card. Now I am going to move to the other state next month and my message of my 485 case has not changed since June.

What should I do? Should we schedule an apointment to the local office just to change the address? Anybody had the similar experience? Thanks.

I do not know why the officer asked you to come into his office when you move. It is not uncommon for people to move, after getting the stamp, and before getting the plastic. You just need to fill the AR-11 or AR-11SR and then call NSC to inform them of the same. As long as your address change goes into their computers before they send your GC for mailing, you should be OK. The only problem could be, if they mail your card to your old address, before your address change takes effect... then the card could be returned to them as "Undeliverable". But based on your date of approval, that will most likely not happen.
