Current Situation:

*Less than 180 days in I485.
*Salary cut by 50% to maintain status.
*Waiting for EAD.

Question:

*Should I stay with current employer with lower salary until I reach 180 days? Does a lower salary affects GC result?
*Should I transfer to a different employer right away once I received the EAD and get a better salary close to what\'s on my LC? (Transferring within 180 days in EAD)
*Which of the two options above is the better way to go through?
 
Check your LC

if you change jobs:
- similar positions
- keep specified salary conditions (not less than whatever has been specified in your LC)

if i were u i would wait for 180 days before moving to another employer

You have not mentioned how many days have exactly passed

The things likely to happen are

a) You may get approval directly
b) you may get rfe for pay stubs
c) You may get call for interview

Most likely u will sail through 180 days without any response from VSC
after that if u change jobs it is much better than doing so at this point

Yes a pay cut is important but the priority is not to complicate matters by jumping jobs before 180 days

Also at this stage do u have all the necessary papers like copies of all the receipts/notices

do u have a copy of all the documents submitted to INS so that u have a clear copy of ur job description

Please be extremely clear about these details

do not take a hasty and fast decision

It has been almost two months since I filed my I-485. Maybe I should hang in there for a while.
