Hi Gurus,
Please help. My scenario is as folows.

I-485 ND is 11/10/2003 and I haven't got finger printing yet. I am expecting it any time. Btw, I am planning to get married in february. I am not able to go before february becos of my H1 extension. My GC was filed as future employmet through company A (I was employed previosuly with them). I am currently working for company B on H1 and I am applying for 7th year extension in October based on pending labor certification applicaton filed on my behalf with company B. So after it is approved, I am trying to go to India, do a register marriage and bring my spouse on H4--all these subject to the availability of appointment at the consulate in chennai.

Meanwhile, here are some concerns that I have:

1. If I get a FP notice and I do go for it, is there a probability that my GC might be approved in 2-3 months ?(given the quicker processing times at Vermont now).

2. Will rescheduling the FP be a better option? will it delay my GC process too much? If it seems to be the best option, can I suggest a date to BCIS?

3. What other options do I have?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am very much confused.

Thanks

wait another year or two

my ND is April 2003, finished my 2nd FP two months ago. Haven't got the GC approval. How soon do you expect yours? I'd say wait another year or two.

You will be approved anytime soon.

You should go to India now to get married. I understand about your H1 extension. Question: When is your H1 with your company B expired? and do you have a valid AP? (Recommendation: Don't use your EAD. If you use EAD, you won't be able to use H1 for your new wife to get her H4).

You better talk to your lawyer and ask what legal options to get married and bring your wife while your H1 extension is pending and your 485 is pending. (like valid AP and unexpired H1 with your company B, not company A). You can ask questions about FP. You should try to go to India for few days to get married and come back on your valid AP or your unexpired H1 quickly, but let's wait and see what other people in this forum says because I am not a lawyer.

Good luck.
