HELP: AC21 and job similarity issue

My I-485 was submitted more than a year ago so AC21 applies.
AC21 requires that the new job must be the same or similar to the sponsoring
job. Here is my question: what does "similar job" mean?

Currently I work for a CAD software company (technical software). How safe is it for me to switch to another company in a different field? Currently I have several opportunities: one is the IT department in a big financial service company (programming job), another one is a software company (job will be
related to network management software). All the jobs including my current
job are senior software engineer position. I believe they all belongs to the same
job category listed in O*Net as 15-1031.00 - Computer Software Engineers, Applications.

I'll appreciate your input on this!

Try and ensure that your new job description is as close as possible to the LC job description. Title shouldn't matter all much, if it's same the better it is.
