Help - 485 online status - Receipt number not found

I came to India on 19th November for Vacation, during departure in US I and my spouse were told to go for US_VIST (which takes our photo and index fingerprint in the airport) process as we dont have US passport / greencard.

It seems this is the new exit process when one without US passport / greencard leaves the US.

On 21st when I checked the online case status in India, I got the below message

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
Case Status Retrieval Failed
Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283


I am using AP to re-enter US. I am worried as to why I am getting this message.

Please advise your thoughts.

Hey there,
I too got the same message but I haven't gone to India or visited any other country. I was checking over the net what this message could mean and some people say it could be an indication of BIG NEWS :) . I hope this has nothing to do with US-VISIT.

Dont worry you are not alone, I am in the same boat.
When I trying to check status online I am geting the same message since last month (10/28/06) and I took infopass appointment last week and I was there and found nothing, because, office tryed 3 times to check the issue but she got the same message what I am getting online. She said nothing and just told, I dont knoa anything about this issue.

I tryed and used poj method to talk to a represntative but couldnt get a chance to talk with anyone. Let see how it goes.
