help 140 and 485 denied

My 140 and 485 have been denied because of documentation error. we are filing an appeal .Can someone provide answers for my following questions.

Can I contact a senator's office for help after I file my appeal(290b).

I'm in SanFrancisco area and my service center is TSC , so is it ok if I contact a SanFrancisco area senator.

Did anyone get any help from senators office in cases like this.

There shoud be some strong Reason for denail, if it is missing documentation they will usually send RFE. find out the reason for denail, you can act/ some experts from this forum can advise you,
 
My User name is my Last Name, I am sorry if it hurts some body, I usually create simple names which I can keep track of easily, I had skamma, had some problem and created kamma after that. I dont have any feeling of the caste or anything here.
 
rarebell, how does it affect you even if it represents a caste? We all live in free society and people have freedom to choose any name.
