hi there,
a new query to rack your brains.......!

u know in what stage is my case and and moreover i've contacted the local senator even.

now the problem is that my project is ending here and my company is stopping my salary. my parent company has found a project for me in NJ and asking me to move there.

now u tell me should i join the project there and should i change my address. and what other complications this change may create in my GC processing.

and by the way if a freind of mine will stay in my current appt and he can continue collecting my mails.

thanks a lot Pork,

cheers,

experts here, I have heard everybody talking

about being on "a project" and "not being on a project" and being "on the bench or not being on the bench". What does this all mean?
Is this a by product of y2k desi labor force supply to support the hoax of the late 90's? I thought 1099 is not just enough for i485. how are all this desi shops getting away with small projects here and there? how does this work?

hi sks,

i am sorry i missed your question earlier. first of all, this is good news that your employer does have another project for you, therefore you can avoid a layoff or bench time.

quite aside from any other consideration, you should file an AR-11 for a change of address, which is filed with a different BCIS office. as far as notifying NSC is concerned, i cannot offer you any specific advice. since you could be so close to approval, you could potentially continue to maintain your present address for the time being, provided all your official mail continues to go there, and that is the address on your paystub. or you could also update your address with NSC by giving your friend's name in the "care of" section with the present address.

I-485 is based on your residence, so you could avoid any potential delays by maintaining your current residence. have you already responded to RFEs? if so, you could be very close to approval, and it just might go through.

PLEASE bear in mind that this is just an opinion. PLEASE consult your attorney and get his advice, as s/he will be the one who will be handling the situation if any RFE comes up, and you don't want to do anything without his/her knowledge and approval.

good luck.
