I got my spouse and children fingerpring done in October 2003 in New Jersey. The local INS office says that the file is still with FBI. Can anyone give my telephone number and email id for FBI for me to check.
this is a perfect opportunity to call your local congressman and get them involved. Be sure and ask to speak with an "immigration caseworker."
my guess is that your case is sitting in some box that no one has bothered to check. the fbi clearance use to take forever and was a major part of the wait for the gc to get approved. now that time is way shorter thanks to modern technology but files do get lost and weird things do happen.
