Thank you very much for your reply Mr JKO274. I am praying lets see. Small clarification, during the grace period if i get DOS approval and simultaneously get H1B processing done by premium processing,,then do i have to leave the country to get my H1 stamped?

No, you do not have to leave the country; you will be able to convert to H inside the US and begin work; assuming you are in a university setting and not subject to the H-1 cap. If you do leave the country later on, then you will have to get a H visa stamp before being able to return. You should keep you J waiver documents with you in case the consulate needs to see proof of waiver.
