Hello guys from San Antonio...

I am back guys..my journy begins again when i file my application on 5th June2004. Now lets see whats in my luck. i have done following

Moved to san antonio 03/01/2004
filed AR 11 and called 1800 # to let them know about moving.
recieved letter confirming my new address
applied for and got Texas state ID and soon drivers license.
opened bank account with new address
changed address all my current creditors credit cards
and got telephone line in my name

then i waited for 3 months : and now only 7 days away when i send in my app. and those who know me ... i am prepared for interview with keeping in mind complications regarding my pervious application.

One thing i didnt update ...I called 1800 # back in FEB 2004 and i explained my situation to REP, she said since my application is not final ( even though i have passed interview, its not conseidered final until i take oath) i do not meet those requirements on which i applied ( married 3 years USC) and to file again with 5 years residency.
I am really hoping for best. and i'l keep all my friends here posted about my timeline and i am back to this forum :D
now a question... I do not have job here as of yet i am looking for one... would it be OK if i tell examiner during interview that i am seeking for job and i dont have one right now.????
thanx

Shaky,

What do you mean by "recieved letter confirming ..."? Did CIS send you a letter confirming your address was changed?

Thanks,

I guess this board is not as active like it was before...i think ppl dont have to wait too long now for their process..so i guess not so many problems and not so many board surfers.

Hi Shaky,

I wish the apparant less number of people translates to less problems with CIS

I recommend u tell the interviewer that you are looking for work . Maybe you can display some reticence .

Yes they send you a letter confirming change of address when you file AR11

Hey Rahul ...how u doin buddy... plz tell me whats going on with ur case... how ST Albans is treating u?

Shaky...

Shaky,
As I understand, One does not have to be employed or working or self-employed at the time of making application or in other words , it does not affect N-400 processing till oath. One must be prepared to prove his physical presence at the place of residence. So looking for a job or looking for business should be no problem.
BTW, can you give me 800 # to report change in address?

Same number as Natl cust Service... You can report change of address only if u have N400 pending, Still got to file AR11 though

Hey shaky,

I'm not sure what you mean that "it does not affect your N-400 till oath"...I'm not aware that employment is a requirement for citizenship, correct me if I'm wrong guys. My understanding is that you need three years record of taxes, that does not necessarily mean employment.

Thanks.

Soul_fh,
When I said "till oath" I meant that processing of N 400 can be done till final dispossal (favourable dispossal and not rejection) irrespecitive of whether one has a job or not.
