I am new and so glad to have found this site. I am helping my daughter with immigration of her husband and child from Brazil. They have been married 5 years and he has been back in Brazil for the past 3 years. I have a notice from an attorney that I dont understand. He has a fee listed for USCIC to notify NVS of approved I-130 and of alien's foreign address: $340.00..I have no idea what that is. My daughter thinks she should send the I-864 now. The website states do not send any forms or information until they request it. They have not requested it yet. Additionally, I have a notice that the application had been sent to the Vernont Service center for processing. The Vermont center has no record of my son-in-law. They were married in 2002 while he was in the US unlawfully. He went back home to complete the process legally. This visa process began in 2005 and I am wondering if I shoud just start over or pay the lawyer 5000.00 to complete this process. Thank you in advance.
