Hell... With VSC - 140 processing

I keep seeing this ugly message on the immigration.com

Time and then with no change to bring smiles on my face.

The Shameless creatures sitting in VSC - are processing
at there whims and fancies.

There is no order for processing cases , I am disgusted with this unholy , barbaric approach of VCS.

I am Sure God will show you the hell , which ur showing with us.

tell the details of your case i mean EB2 or EB3 with 485 or CP?????
We are in the same boat, the same message pops up for me.

Do we have any recourse to counter this USCIS lethargy/callousness by filing individual lawsuits? We do PAY for the GC processing services - so shouldn't the govt. be accountable to us in some form?
Just a thought - may be it hasn't yet happened because all of us always think there is no way a lawsuit is going to succeed.
 
I whole heartedly agree to all of the above thoughts.....
But........ Tell frankly that after you get the green cards you are going to remember the hardships and pain you suffered in the process.
IF YES its good and keep alive this feeling.
IF NOT then guys just forget everything and wait for I140 approval and then 485 or CP.........
Becoz its my personal experience those who get GC worry only for their home and car and nothing else and sometimes even forget that they are INDIANS like US.

Write to your reps..

I can totally sympathize and understand with all of us dealing with the callous, apathetic and unamerican behavior of USCIS in this regard but it's really not gonna get you anywhere. Have you guys considered writing letters to your state reps in the House of Representatives and the Senators. I did start on that exercise a month ago and wrote to pretty much all the Senators (21) on the Sub-Committe on Homeland Security, my state Senators Kerry and Kennedy, my House reps. Maybe, you should do the same. I am not expecting a miracle to happen but sometimes if it's a problem reported and written by many guys, they might atleast ask these questions when they have the USCIS Director testify ( as he did on 02/04/2004). I am planning to write a letter every month. Let's see where it goes.

There is nothing wrong trying with this tiersome excercises.

Do you think that all the senators of that anti Indiaclub dont know whats happening to our community. They know every thing It is these Stupid senators who never responded to many of mails in 2001 and 2002 for exemption of Social security for those people on H1 when we dont have any benifits by paying that.

These senseless brainless creatures know everything but they will not help atleast in election time because of th propoganda on loosing jobs to India and Indians.

No other than Kerry crying foul on this can we expect sympathy from such a coward.

where the hell this coward was and doing when some millions of manufacturing jobs went to China?

Lets not expect any sympathy to our cases from senators nor the justice system they are anti India and Indian.

Once again i am not against to ur ideas and sincierely in noway do i have any intenstions to offend you.

I agree with you that it's a tough election year and all that but I don't see this as a conspiracy against indians or something. i don't think we are that strong and powerful that we have an anti-india lobby going against us unless of course you are talking about the KKK, religious right and other neo-white supremacist organizations.

I see this purely as a matter of logistics and the fact of the matter is that the USCIS just doesn't have enough appropriations to deal with the procedure and just been behaving like a typical government bureaucracy and people know that. The question is, will they appropriate more funds for this or not? According to the earlier sent link, the USCIS director was quoted as saying that they will eliminate all backlogs by 2006. it remains to be seen if they will really solve the problem or simply use the paper-shredder like Arthur Anderson & Co (apparently, it happened last year)

I guess there are two options:
a) sit back, pray and wait for a miracle to happen
b) generate repeated public awareness and hope it
gets noticed

I chose the latter. Anyway it's just a feel good thing that I tried.

As someone has said earlier things are getting better and better in India every day as far as jobs goes. I too am waiting for my I-140 (ND 09/22/03) with my H1 disappearing. Had spent a long long time in labor. Bottom line is that the GC is a privilege granted to us by a foreign government, not a right. Dont get me wrong - we work hard to earn it. But the only place we can say without fear as ours will always be India which will always be there for us. I am sick of this nervousness which we feel each time we stand at the INS counters with GC or without GC.

Anyway here is to wishing all of us the best.

Few of the things you have written here are right. But few, I disagree.
Anything which hurts is a pain to justify. Be it the privilege.
And I would not even agree to call it privilege. In this word of competition, privilege is probably a wrong word.
We are here, because US needs us.
Like in India, you appoint housemaids. Do you call it privilege to give them the work of housecleaning? No, it is all requriement driven.
We have worked very hard, US govt takes huge amount from us and put it in soc security and other taxes. And when they deny GC, you lose all Soc sec and US people enjoy on that money earned by us.
It is basically like the Gundaas of Hindi movies, you pay Hafta (Weekly surcharge to a toughman) to earn.
Here we pay more than Hafta and still have to suffer a lot.
I would call it Homeopathy treatment
It wounldn't let you die, but wouldn't let you live either.
A slow and steady way of killing the hearts, souls and ambitions of others. And you call it privilege.
Well, I wouldn't.
PS: Homoepathy is taken as an example only . It is not to hurt feelings of anyone.
 
Also our employers, colleagues, bosses realize the value we add and have such high regard and respect for us. We survived through the thick and thin of the bad economy. So why is the USCIS delaying things is beyond my comprehension.

If the basic idea of the USCIS is to deny or delay GC, tell that upfront that we will deny it, why raise hopes and then kill it. Why the double standards.
