We (and our employers) have paid thousands and thousands in legal and USCIS fees for our applications and we cannot even find out what's going on with our cases. Its pathetic. I cannot think of any parallel to compare to this "arrogance" and lack of responsibility. No where else can someone charge a single dollar and be so unresponsive.
Only we "aliens" are to suffer. The lawyer community will make no attempt to clear this confusion - more the confusion, more people go to them and more is the fees they can charge. What a trap.
Every now and then USCIS creats some hoopla like "PERM", "Backlog Reduction programs", "pilot programs"etc. etc...to appease the people like us....but I have never seen anything work...nor have ever the processing times come down - EXCEPT during the internet bubble days when USA needed foriegn labor - what a coincidence right! Its a totally absurd system.
