I am having so much hearturn because NSC is scoring big time with presidant by showing him that they are processing all applications within 6 months. But in reality they are NOT giving out green cards also. Insted they are keeping them stuck with FBI or state deprtment or some other buddy government agencyHopefully presidant is not dumb enough to understand that these dates does NOT mean apporval of greencard.

I thought you need some physical health advice

he was C grade student, you cannt expect him to understand all these complex :) legal immigration issues..

goan2005,

Almost all the service centers are within the 6 months promised by Bush. The ones that are lagging behind will catch up before the year end. The processing times will remain at about 6 months at all costs and hence severe retro will also stay in place. The 6 months is not the driving force behind the current "severe" retro but it will ensure that the retro stays "severe" for a while. Unless the DOS/DOL/USCIS are not completely satisified that the enormous pending cases in the BEC will not throw processing times out of whack they will be very conservative in moving any PDs (especially EB3). We can expect very slow movement for another year if not more because the dates will not move at all till the DOL officially completes ALL pending labors (their target date is Sept '07). In Sept '07 depending on the final number of cases that make it to 485, there may be some movement or another round of severe retro.

This again goes back to the argument that the system has been fixed for most categories based on the total collapse of a few categories (namely all of EB3 categories). It is another matter that most immigrants used the various categroies within EB3 to bend the rules in their favor and now the entire catgeory is suffering. It makes sense I guess, EB3 is at the bottom of the employment based category foodchain and bottom dwellers historically lose in most situations.

regards,

saras
