Hi I'm a landed immigrant in Vancouver

Are we required to apply for the health card? The premium is $57/month and it's pretty steep. What if we have another insurance that we can use?

Will it be a problem for the immigration if I don't apply for the healthcard?

The question is strange....Do you intend to live in Canada (Vancouver, to be specific)? If yes, why don't you want the provincial healthcare? Because that is the cheapest way to obtain the healthcare...

If you are going back to the US and do not intend to live in Vancouver (or in Canada), you do not need to apply for the cdn healthcare.
