health insurance for visitors

Some of my relatives are over 65 and I would like for them to visit the U.S. as tourists when they are still healthy. My thought is that now that I have my green card, I can help them come here, show them around and give them a good time.

They\'re farm hands from India, extremely poor (no clothes to wear, no food to eat, never wore shoes in their life, indebted since generations, and far more poor than any of us can ever imagine!), living simple lives (bonded laborers for generations, farm hands indebted to landlords since generations, i.e. the Indian equivalent of slavery) with simple thoughts (their biggest curiosity after I sent them pictures was: considering that even Niagara Falls is frozen, does urine also come out as a frozen stick?) and unbelievably humble (the never-hurt-a-fly sorts). So giving them the opportunity to tour America is the least I must do for them.

a) What health insurance would you suggest for them, considering that they\'re over 65? I would appreciate hearing from you.

b) One of them has diabetes and another had a heart attack. What health insurance would be appropriate for these two.

Thank.

Health Insurance

Hi,

The last time my parents visited from India, I surfed through the Indian Web-Sites (like path2india.com, etc) and Indian newspapers (like India West, India Journal, etc) to pick an affordable insurance. You might want to try the same.

Be careful ...

since most insurances do not cover pre-existing conditions. Also you
can find more info in the B(visitor\'s visa) section of the board.
