health check for I-485

No

If you have had either active , you'll have to prove that you took all the necessary medications.Contact the local health dept and they will prescribe you medicine and a certificate at the end of taking medicine. I think they expect you to take medicine for 9 months.

If you have inactive TB, you should be fine.

You will probably have a delay

Hi,

Pl. let me know having TB will lead to the denial of of 485.

Thanks

Your approval will be probably delayed until you complete a standard course of treatment (about 9 months).

If you have already received this treatment in the U.S., you should be fine.

This is only my understanding though - I am not an immigration attorney.

The best of luck!

Actually the civil surgeon who makes the exam on you will check that out and point it on your papers. That doctor should let you know where to go and got the treatment (if you haven't yet) depending on that the doctor will check the clearance until you get further treatment. The doctor has to explain to you all these. Is not you should ask him/she all the questions about it, is your right (you are paying for it).
About the time of clearance depends apparently the type of TB you have (check out the I-693).
Actually that part is well explain in the main form I-693 page 4. You can downloaded at the USCIS website (www.uscis.gov)
Furthermore you can look at the cdc website, actually USCIS medical examination had to follow the CDC regulations.

Good luck,
good luck,
