Hi everyone,
Thank you in advance as this forum has been super helpful navigating TN questions as a relatively new career person! With all the help from this forum, I have successfully applied for and received two separate TN visas which I have been working for (the first one was my full time job, the second one is a part time job I was doing on weekends/extra hours on weekdays but that I will be increasing my hours at to become full time). I made sure the wording when I applied at the border for the second TN just stated at a minimum xx hours per week no part time or full time explanation. I have submitted my letter of resignation and will be leaving my full time job (the one I got my first TN with) shortly this month. I had a few questions I wanted to clarify:
1. Am I correct to assume that I can continue working my second job and do not have to leave and re-enter the border after my last day at the first/other job, as my second TN status should still be completely valid (not expiring until 2025)?
2. Do I have to do anything to "declare" or I guess somehow let immigration know that my first TN is no longer valid? Or is this something I should just clarify on my next trip out of the country/ when I re-enter the US?
3. It's not ideal, but I live only 2-3 hours away from the Mexican border, and I could possibly do a day trip if it would be easier to clarify from an immigration standpoint the "change" in my employments/TN status. Would this be preferable/neccessary?
Thank you all for any input in advance!
