Have the Interview Letter but online status: Case received and pending

I successfully finished the finger printing and I also received the interview letter for Newark. But the online status is stuck at Case received and pending. Should I be worried? Why is the online status not changing?

Don't even sweat it....the online system isn't the greatest system in the world.

Sometimes it changes and most of the time, it doesn't. :D
 
I have applied for citizenship 3 years back and it hasn't been ONCE when I could check my status online..seriously..it doesn't really matter.
 
Not to worry. I have seen the online status work both ways in my case.

The status disappeared for me and I got the interview letter but for my wife she received the interview letter and status is still "Pending". Go figure! :)
 
Yep, when I phoned them to see about my Oath letter status, they said I could check online, but it won't neccissarly be updated at all. She said sometimes they will and sometimes they won't.

I'm like great, why even have it then. So far I don't even have a case according to it...
 
As far as I can tell, the USCIS has an unpublished "confuse the customer" strategy. It is one thing that they do very well.
