Have EAD/AP.need to apply Vistor Visa for my Mom, what are the steps/experiences?

Hello Gurus,
I am on EAD/AP. I want to apply for 6 month visitor visa for my Mom at chennai consulate. Has anyone who are in EAD/AP ( and do not have valid H1 visa) have applied for the same for their parent(s) at chennai consulate? If so , Are there any additional documents in addition to EAD? and Did your parent(s) get visitor visa with your EAD proof?

Passport (all pages)
Employer Letter
Last 3 months Bank Statement
Bank letter
Last 2 yr tax returns
Marriage certificate
Last 3 months paystubs

along with
Notarized I134
Invitation letter to visitor
Letter addressed to consulate

My mother-in-law got her visa for 10 yrs a few days ago at chennai consulate

Did your mother in law apply visa for second time or this his her first time coming to US?
 
Parents visa rejected 'cos of EAD

GUYS NEED HELP.
My parents went to Chennai consulate for tourist visa on Nov 20 and were rejected. They just saw the documents I sent and said the reason was "She is on EAD which is an intermediate stage before greeen card " and "we are not sure if u will come back".
I had sent all possible documents listed in this and other websites which includes copies of I -485 receipt, EAD, AP etc .
My EAD is valid till Sept 5, 2004 and we asked for only a 6 months visa - so I do not understand what the problem is .
Any tips to reapply? Do I apply with the same set of docs ?
anything I can add? Can I prove any way they will gpo back for sure ???
