Maybe somebody have a story.
So far, the most complicated story was that of sessanga. They asked him for further evidence and then they delayed his adjustment for more than 18 months. However, he was eventually able to obtain his green card. I heard that they may impede the adjustment of individuals if they have evidence for his/her fraud, but I never witnessed a case myself.

Yes, I can confirm to you that people have been denied asylee adjustment, probably only 1-2 % of the total applicant pool. The most common reasons are criminal issues or evidence of fraud in the original asylum case. When they deny adjustment in these instances, they also want you out of the country promptly. A small number of asylees have been denied adjustment for HIV+ but are permitted to remain in asylee status.

When someone's story sounds like a movie script, or a fairy tale, and there's evidence of crime in his/her past, they usually are denied.
I've heard of people being denied, but later on becoming citizens...how???
I DON'T KNOW!! some people just know how to work the system.
Is it fair to say this whole process is all about money?? is it fair to assume if someone has the financial backings and a good lawyer team...they usually get their papers in a timely fashion?? again ...I don't knowwwwww!!!
No pun intended to anyone. ;)
