Hi,

I would like to know if anyone has ever used any help from their congressman or congresswoman (like a case status or to expedite the I/O decision on your case) regarding their I485 pending cases. And if it did help please explain....

I did.

This method works if the USCIS is really dropping by ball by being excessively late.

USA2002, would you please explain in a little more detailed your case? was uscis late with your decision? was it granted? thank you

The asylum case was late and I contacted my member of Congress. His aide got in touch with the USCIS and they rendered a decision (approval) in three weeks.

Some members are more helpful than others. You have three shots (two senators and one representative) unless you live in DC.

I wish you the best as your pursue this matter.

I did the same, I wrote a letter to my congresswoman explained that my case should have be processed. I heard from her within two weeks, and heard from the immigration within a month.

Good luck,

Gino
