TSC has a fax number to submit petitions to expedite applications for a select number of cases (e.g., extreme emergency, etc).

Has anyone used this service? Does it help?

Yes, it helps. My boss had used it to expedite my petition. But it only helps if you can accurately document your reason. They probably get 100s of requests every day and they throw most away.
