Has anyone postponed their fingerprint appointment?

Hello Folks.
One of my friends recommended me this site. I am getting married in couple of months and last week i got notice for 2nd finger print. FP is scheduled for middle of this month. Has any one postponed their FP? What is the procedure? Any experienced user here?

I am not sure if its a bad idea now or not. I had postponed by fingerprinting in 2001 for the same reasons. My FP date (nov 2001) was on the date of my wedding and my husband was in india. so I had postponed my FP and asked them if they can reschedule it after 2 months. I got the letter saying ok. then I came back (dec 2001), filed for my husband as a beneficiary and got my FP done(Feb 2001). To my surprise I got approved within a month (march 2001) :) this all happened in 4 months period.

so I am not sure if this will happen now as things have changed so much.. you may not want to reschedule your FP as approval might not come very soon. in my case it proved wise to not to do fp in time or before time as I could hv received my approval before my wedding and that would hv been horrible for me n my overseas hubby !

FYI- his case is still pending with RD of Jan 2003.
 
GCyeaShaadi, what's you FP location? Some Application Support Centers allow to do FP before scheduled date.

GCyeaShaadi, I don't know about early FP in SF, but I remember last year some people did early FP in San Jose, although their scheduled location was Oakland.
