My package was previously sent to the Chicago Lockbox (where it was supposed to go) and we have already done our finger- printing and received our work permits. We recently received a letter saying that our I 130/I 485 was transferred to California for faster processing? Has this happened to anyone else, and if so ...was it any faster and did you get through?

This case is a Daughter filing for Father & Stepmother because our Sister filing for family petition ended with no GC because they said we did not remain in status whilst we were in USA, now we are told that overstay is forgiven if an immediate relative files for you, so we are currently re-doing the entire process.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated, especially from TheRealCanadian who gave me a good "thrashing" when our first petition failed for being so gullible to the Lawyer who took us for a "ride".

Thanking you in advance for any suggestions/advice/ideas.

To balance the workload, the centers would normally transfer the applications to another location where the file can be worked faster. Had a similar situation earlier; it’s normal and is good for you.
