Has anyone been approved under these conditions?
I am worried

if the salary offered in the new job is vastly different from the salary on the labor certification for no apparent reason, it may raise a question regarding whether the new job is really the "same or similar" job.
*************************************************

I have to join the client (no options here) I work for.
1. There is nearly 50% increase in salary)
2. Also the title is going to change from software engg to Principal Engg.

Will this lead to trouble in case of an RFE?
Has any one been approved under same cicumstances??

Thanks.

Yes,

What is approved, you have to be specific, is it LC or 140 or 485.

No, doubt you will get RFE, prepare for it. Sometimes even LC is approved you would get RFE for 140.

SW28,

Your question is not very clear as RAGHUC told. However from the context and the question is in 485 thread , I would assume your are using AC21 portability and joing the client. Higher salary and Title change should be a problem at all. From the recent information I read from Sheela Murthy site -- INS is most likely to ask questions about the company ability to pay in case of AC21 portability. Which I would guess should not be a problem in your case as there infact a pay hike. So be cool and have fun.

My feeling is that your Salary should not matter. Its actually better on the contrary. However you might get an RFE on your job title. If possible keep the title same and the basic functionalities of the job (job description) same. You can always add more responsibility but the basic nature of the job should be same. For. ex. a job of an S/w analyst and one of a s/w programmer are different.

...........my 2 cents

Thanks Guys for taking time to respond.

And the question was indeed in context of AC-21.
