yes,
it is a simple process, we would be paying the application fee of Rs.4400 upfront even before making an appointment online. WHile making an appointment 48 hrs after payment of fee at the consulate authorized HDFC bank counter we can book online.
You should have information for DS-156 and DS-157 while making the appointment. once you choose a date for interview you will get a confirmation receipt, you got to print it and take it with u for the visa interview along with the fee receipt original.

How to take an appointment in VFS?

I am trying to take an appointment for my Mom.She got rejected once in Chennai
on Oct 6th.
As per the instructions given in the site.. I paid the requried amount in HDFC
bank and got the receipt number and I could fill all the details in DS156
form.
Do i need to fill DS157 form too?
But my question is.. I am not able to take an appointment. on the requried
date. There is no screen to book an appointment after filling the DS 156 form.
Can you let me know whats the next step..

what is the exact procedure for getting appt?
1. Go to HDFC bank , pay $100.00 for application fees. (what documents are required during this step?)
2. Using the receipt # we have to make appointment online. Is this step correct? What information are required to fill and print?
