Has anybody tried the Ombudsman?

Hi there,
Has anybody tried the Ombudsman to chekc on the status of the application, before, during, or after the citizenship interview? i have had my interview in memphis on Feb 7th, 2005 and never heard anything! is that normal? when should i start worrying or check on my application?

I did write to the ombudsman because BCIS was unresponsive to my inquiries about my pending N400. All I got was a form letter saying that the ombudsman's office will look into my case. That was about 6 months ago, and I have not heard anything further from the ombudsman. Interestingly the ombudsman is an Indian-American person.

Yes, he is an immigrant, but remember he plays on the same side as USCIS. He is part of the same team.
