I have a I-290B pending for adjudication at NSC, it has been there for 3 months and has not been sent to the AAO yet. In the meantime I'm already on my H1-B 7th year extension which expires on June 25 2005.

I'm affraid that NSC may take 6 months only to comeback saying that they sent my appeal to the AAO which in this case it may take further that my H1-B expiration date.

What is going to happen if June 25 2005 comes and my I-290B is still pending?
Can I apply for a H1-B 8th year extension?

I appreciate any inputs.

What about travel? Showing my expired H1-B plus the extension letter is enough to re enter the US?

Thanks.

I have a valid 7th year extension approval letter and the old expired H1-B visa stamp. So does this allow me to travel?

Thanks in advance.

No, this does not allow you to travel. You need a valid visa stamp to enter US, or an AP, unless you are from Visa Waiver country.
