I went for MY Passport stamping on 12th Nov 2004 in Hartford, CT after getting an Infopass appointment. I have to try for almost three days to get an Infopass appointment. Appointment was for 9:45 AM... Reached their 9:15 AM. There are lot of street parking spaces available in front on Federal building...Do not forget to bring lot of quarters....I was only allowed to enter the USCIS office 15 min before my appointment time even though there was hardly any line. Took 45 min to complete the whole process ...tried to enquire about my wife's case but was denied as my wife was not present with me at that time....so if you want to enquire about your wife's case then bring her along...
Hope this info might help all CT guys....

Actually in my case when I enquired about my wife's case , lady there told me that If my wife was present then she could look in the system about her application.....So In my opinion take your spouce with you and enquire..there is no harm in trying....

We recently got our I-485 approval and have an appointment with the Hartford office for passport stamping next week.

My understanding is , we need to carry the following documents when we go for stamping :-

1. Original I-485 approval notice;

2. Passport style photos (2 per person);

3. Original Advance Parole document;

4. Original EAD card; and

5. Valid, unexpired passport

Is this sufficient ? Did you take any other documents ?

Also our application was approved by the Texas Service center and we recently relocated to CT . For some reason they have sent my spouse's I-485 approval notice to our old address . We will be using our lawyer's copy . Will this be a problem ?

If you can provide some more info and insights regarding the actual process of stamping , like what questions did they ask etc ... it would be very helpful

Thanks & Regards
