Hardship Waiver

Hi,
I have applied for a J1 Harship Waiver over 9 months ago. I know that my application is at DOS. The status of my application is Pending. I had our congress person office give them a call, etc, and no luck yet. What should I do next? how long do they usually take? is it a bad sign that it is taking this long?

I am not sure if it is bad or good. Mine took 3mths in DOS. Their website is pretty good in updating it. Just don't loose faith.

is there any number I can call and find out what's going on with my harship application????
This is so frutrating. 10 months at dos!
I get the feeling it might be lost.
