handed over the bottom portion of the I797

Hi,

I have changed my company 1 year back , but haven't stamped the passport with my new visa. Passport contains old visa stamp .

Now, I am planning to visit india and get new visa stamped when i am there.

My position is , I handed over the bottom portion of the I797 to the Airport people , when i left US , middle of last year with my old visa stamp. But I have COPY of whole page of the I797 with me.

So, my question is , whether there will be problem , when i submit my papers to the US consulate in india , to get my new visa stamped.

Please reply me ASAP.

submit only the white expired I-94.

some US consulates might make an issue out of an incomplete H1 approval notice.
I have done this twice..no problems at all.

which consulate u have done earlier ? so , u mean to say , i have to give only the copy of my new I797 visa and old I94 paper attached in the Passport ?
