Help From Congressman

:) Hello, :)
PD:April 30,2001.EB3 Category
My wife and I had our interviews in NY,NY on August 22,2004 since our fingerprint result were not in(Fingerprints had taken 1 Mo.before the interview
on July 22,2004)officer did not stamp our passports We waited for 1 year from
Immigration but it was in vain. And i decided to contact the Congressman and they have been very helpful and told me that they will closely moniter my case.Apparentely they did.Last week i received letter from Homeland Security saying that"Your case has been transferred to Congressional Unit at Federal Plaza in NY,NY and from now on for any question about your case please contact your Congressman"My question is, is this a good news for me and is this going to accelerate my processing?Any body has a similar situation??

Thank You :)

which congressman did you contact? Do you have the name, address and telephone? What did you tell them? I might have to do that too since I have been stuck in NC for more than three years. thanks.

i have contacted Tim Bishop's office here in NY,Long Island.I told them that my case is pending with immigration for such a long time. They really seriously
helped me they called the BCIS right in front of me.If you live in NC you have to contact NC congressman. You can find their addres on the net by entering
your zip code+Try them you have nothing to loose.
