Hi All,
I'm in the bizarre situation of having won a green card thru the 1995 DV program but having worked in the US for a while I returned to Ireland to get my college and masters degrees and have spent the last 7 years working in IT/Media in Ireland.
My question is in 3 parts.
1. Can I apply again for the DV program? Will they look unfavorably at someone who got a GC and then let it expire?
2. Can I apply for my expired GC to be renewed?
3. My girlfriend is a US citizen who is studying in Ireland. When she finishes college in 2008 she is returning to the US and wants me to go with her on a fiance visa. I think it's a bit unromantic to get married for status reasons - hence applying for the DV 2008 - but needs must when the devil drives. Will my applying now cast our finace visa application in an unfavorable light.
