Guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that I re-entered US on 2nd Nov. While I was gone on a vacation to India, I applied for my H1-B. I have been on H1 for 3 years, but my passport was never stamped. I was concerned that there might be some issues for getting the Visa stamp. I had applied for my AP and didn't leave US untill I got them.

However, the consular (real nice guy) asked me just one question related to H1, we spend couple of minutes talking about my vacation and how his day was going. Next day morning I got my passport from Blue Dart (Mumbai consulate)

I re-entered, the immigration officer (real nice guy too) saw my visa, and stamped my I-94. The time between I de-planed and was out of the airport was 15 minutes (including immigration and customs)

Now as far as I understand, I am on H1-B status, and I don't require an EAD.
