h4b issue

Hi folks,
My h1b is expiring on oct 20th 2003(I have 3 more yrs to go) before that I want to get it stamped for my kids & wife(h4b). They r attending interview on 28th Aug in India. once they come to USA I would like to change my employer. Is it ok to get it stamped for them once I receive my transfer approval or they need to go back to India for visa approval or can I apply here. Is there any time period for applying their visa with my new extension . pl. give me ur suggestions . Ur help is appreciated. ........... Thx.......

Expecting everything would go positive for you and your family.

Hope Aug 28 interview would go well and H4 would be stammped. The consulate would defenitely look at the short time left on your H1 and may (probably) raise a question regarding extension of your H1.
Is your family going to join you immediately after their stammping? If yes, then you should apply for their H4 extension simultaneously with your H1, since not much time left before Oct 20. OR if you apply for your H1 ext or transfer before they reach you, apply for their H4 ext with a copy of your H1 reciept.
You need not wait for your H1 approval. You should apply H4 extension before their first H4 expires.
Once you and your family get H1 and H4's approved, you could mail your passports and H1, H4 docs to St. Louis MO for stamping. You and your family need not travel to India as long as the type of visa is same as previously stamped on the passport.
