My wife is planning to go to Pakistan coming January. Her H4 visa expired on July 2004. However, I797 approval is till oct 2006. Furthermore, my H1 visa stamp is expired, however we both have I797 approval till oct, 2006. Are there any issues I need to worry about?

Can they share their experience?
How much time does it take to get H4 from Islamabad?
And can they delay issueing H4 visa for name-check/security-check reasons?
