H4 visa requirements..

Hi,

I came to US on an H1 visa with my wife. After coming here I changed job, got the H1 transferred along with my wife\'s H4 and we now have the new H1 and H4 approval notices from INS.

Our old visas are still valid till Jan 2003.

My wife is on a 2 month india trip and I am not sure whether she should get her new h4 stamped before coming here. I checked the mumbai consulate website. It says

"For H4 visa: form I-797 (Notice of Action) in original for H1B applicant."

Does this mean she needs to have original of my I-797? Or just original of her H4 I-797 Notice of Action would suffice?

Please help.

Get it stamped together

Based on past experiences, I will recommend that you get your H1 and ur wife\'s H4 stamped together otherwise there are chances her H4 might get rejected.... If the H1 holder does not have the visa stamped on the passport , you may face a diffculty... Just a suggestion !!
