H4 visa in Calcutta

Hi,
My wife is applying for an H4 visa from Calcutta. She has been to the USA before for 2 years on F2 visa. Then she left the States and I changed from F1 to H1B status. I do not however have an H1 visa stamp in my ppt, only an expired F1 stamp. I have sent all necessary documents such as original I-797, LCA, etc to her.
My questions are:

1. Does she qualify for drop box ? (Her old F2 visa stamp expired 1 year back). Note that since she was outside the USA during my change of status to H1, I could not file a COS to H4 for her.

2. My ppt not having an H1 visa stamp would create any problem ? (Last I travelled out of USA was on F1)
Do we anticipate any other possible problem ?

3. Can anyone share recent H4 experience, particularly in Calcutta. How is the general scenario there as regards to approval/rejection.

****Most probably not..send all the documents listed on their site, use the TTS services. If they insist, for the passport stamping, then you might have to travel back for that. But most probably they won't.

****My experience was about 2 years back....very smooth.
