I am on H-1B and going to land in canada in July. I will use AVR but my wife will apply for H4. As per my understanding we have permanent residence of canada so there should not be any problem qualifying for visa. My question is that on DS156 form, what address i should write? I am going to canada for landing only at this time and will use cousin's address for all correspondence. Does it matter if i show my US address as permanent address in DS156 and 157. I am concernd that if i am not showing a canadian address on DS156, my wife will not be treated as immigrant and might be asked to go to home country for visa.
My be it is an overkill question but you answer can put me on ease.
