Hoping to get married after filing I485 to take the advantage of including wife in AOS? Chennai Consulate is no longer a safe heaven for such H4 visas. Sounds like Chennai Consulate has adopted a new policy of pushing the H4 visa applications into the so called "Anti Fraud Bureau investigation" under the name of Administrative Processing. I am one among and I know few people who are going through that now. It is happening for those who are in US for more than 3 years and getting married now. Not sure what percentage of people are affected with it.

got my wife\'s H-4 in Feb 2002

Guys,

I did H-4 for my wife in Feb 2002 after filing my 485. I got my wofe\'s H-4 and applied 485 this month. I don\'t when that rule was implemented.

H-4 in Chennai took exactly 5 working days.
