H4 visa at chennai

Hello everyone,

I am on H1 visa, which is stamped in Mumbai consulate. I need to apply H4 for my spouse.

Can i apply the same in Chennai consulate?. Or do i need to apply this H4 at
Mumbai consulate because of my H1 stamped in Mumbai?.

Please advise.

I think the answer depends on where your spouse resides. You should go to the consulate that handles that city. It doesn't matter where your H1 was stamped.
