H4 visa, asking for personal appearance

Hi,
My wife appd for H4 visa and she was asked a query to which my employer responded. She submitted her papers again with my i-94 copy on 28th june as the date was still valid for drop box at chennai consulate. But today she got her papers back asking her to submit my W-2 papers and tax returns.

As I have just come over here, around 2 weeks back how do I tackle this problem? Please suggest.

Write a letter addressed to the Consular General at the Chennai consulate. Attach employment verification letter which clearly states that you are working for the company since.... and you do not have any W-2 or tax returns as of today. Explain that your are here after Jan 2004 and this is your first visit to the USA. That should be just fine. Also dont forget to attach the photocopy of your entire passport to prove that you have been in the us after Dec 31 2003 and no earlier than that.

All the proofs like my entire passport copies, my I-94, etc... were submitted. I really dont know whether ppl in there are looking at all the docs or not. Because looking at my visa itself, they should know it. Is there any solution or suggestion plz

Hi ,
What you are saying is take the appointment on the date available and let my wife attend personally with the employment verification letter and my other docs. The ppl there are so irresponsible that they are not at all looking at the docs properly. They just want to pull the time. That is too bad for genuine cases. By the time of september appointment which she has got, I will get my paystubs which I can produce anyway. Is there a way that I can talk or fax or send a letter to the consul general with the case details and ask them to give an earlier appointment in next few days?
