H4 visa appointment dates at chennai

i tried for a appt date(H4) at chennai for march but i see that all the slots are booked till the end of april(dates are in red).
My question is did they open the dates for Feb and March or are all the slots completely booked

Can i go to the Mumbai consulate if i don't get any appt at chennai

Can anyone help me in this matter

I am getting married in Feb 1st week, and coudn't find appointment dates for Chennai until April.
Could you send me some website link that mentions under what circumstances ppl. living in Chennai can go to delhi/mumbai/kolkotta for stamping. Since myself/fiancee both reside in South India, do i have to take personal Interview for h4, or is drop-box fine.

Hi,

I'm also getting married in Feb 1'st week. My spouse has applied for Passport and still waiting. I would like to take an appointment once she gets her PP. As I'm planning to be back here by Feb 16th along with her. Will it be possible? Meaning will I get an appointment for Feb 1week and if we get an appointment, will she get her visa in one week time? I 'm tryin to get information visa processing timings, if some one can throw some info on this would be appreciated. And also as I see, incase of non-availability of appointment dates with Chennai, I can go to MUmbai or Delhi consulates but is there any official website that describes this RULE.? INS/US consulate sites should have this, please let us know the exact URL.

it seems they are opening the dates only 4 weeks in advance. oncewe get into jan then we'll c the dates in feb
 
Hi,
Keep trying for the appointment dates once in few hours, some date might come up. I booked for me initially for Dec 23rd. Then found one on 22nd too. Keep trying once in few hours.
 
People residing in S. India HAVE to get a visa stamp in Chennai (It covers whole S. India)... Each consulate has coverage over some states.. I wud love to get a stamp outside of Chennai, but I don't think it is possible is it?

Will be getting married in March and my fiancee doesn't have a passport right now.
Is it possible to take an appointment irrespective of that?
'coz in the website it asks for petition# etc. is it the spouses(mine) h1B?... can u plz clarify?

Any idea on Appointments in April/May?
 
marriage in US and H4

if i get married in US by registered marriage, and hence a marriage certificate, can i apply for a H4 approval in US or is it done only in the consulates in India? Then, does she still have to change her name in spite of the marriage certificate?
