Hello every one,
couple of questions and need you all help.

1. is the h4 to h1 process is diffrent from regular h1 or it's all same.
2.Once they get H1-b approval do they need to go back india, as we are from india to get visa stmaped or we can revalidate here only even you change from h4 to h1.

its different. especially you will not be able to enjoy portability provision act as you cannot join the petitioning employer with just mere h1 filing receipt.

not necessarily. it depends. remember there are 2 things involved in h4 to h1 process. first is h1 petition and the other is change of status. if your change of status is also approved (means if you get i94 attached with h1 approval notice) then you dont have to leave usa and enter again to work for that employer. if there were no i94 then you have to exit usa and get the h1 visa stamped and enter again to work for that employer. you cannot revalidate your visa because you can do it only if you have the same current visa category stamp.
