I am currently on H4 but my I94 expired on March 1, 2007 and has been sent for renewal. I am planning to apply for H4 to H1 transfer on April 1, 2007. I have couple of questions about that:
1. I am just worried if it will cause any problems in H1 approval because of expired I94?
2. If I apply now and get a RFE later (by which time my new H4 would come). Then if I respond to RFE will it cause problems if the quota is filled by then. Is my application still considered in my original date?
3. I have done MS from US, so I qualify for the 20,000 additional quota. Any guesses till what time can I wait this year for applying for H1 (I heard that normal quota will fill in the first week of April).
